A support worker to help you get out and join in, that is what the funding is for. Your own ticket, your lunch, your personal spending, those are generally yours. It is the same logic as anyone heading out for the day: you cover your own costs, the funding covers the support that makes taking part possible.

What it can usually cover
When it is about the support to take part, this funding commonly covers:

The group program exception
Here is the nuance that trips people up. In some group or centre based programs, the cost of the activity is built into the hourly rate the provider charges. When it is bundled in like that, it can be covered as part of the program cost.
So the honest answer to what will it pay for is sometimes it depends on how the program is set up. That is not us being cagey, it is genuinely how it works. The fix is simple: ask any provider directly how their pricing is structured, and a good one will give you a straight answer.
The grey areas
Some things sit in a grey zone and come down to your specific plan and goals. Whether transport is covered, how much social funding you have, whether a particular activity counts towards your goals. These are exactly the questions your coordinator or plan manager is there for. No one expects you to know the fine print, and honestly, it changes often enough that even we point people to the experts.
